A slave camp on a low hill on the Stormgap Coast that feeds Brink, Heng and Trader's Edge at the same time. The whole town hangs on one man — kill him and it becomes a ruin.
Eyesocket is a slave camp built on a small hill on the Stormgap Coast. What makes it matter is not its size but its position: the food line for three northern towns runs out of here, and the switch for that line is a single person — Slave Master Grande.
You find it either by walking the Stormgap Coast yourself, or by acquiring and reading the Map of the United Cities (Central Territories), which puts it straight on your map.
What it feeds
Eyesocket is not simply a market; it is the head of a supply line, running at once to Brink, Heng and Trader's Edge.
That single fact sets its strategic value. For a player who wants to end slavery, Eyesocket is where you take a corner off the United Cities' northern economy. For a player who wants to trade up north, tearing it down means removing your own future supplier.
Who is here
Almost everything stationed in Eyesocket belongs to the slaver faction: one slaver barracks, three work camp gate guard posts, plus the staff of the slave platform, the bar, three slaver shops and three slave clothing shops. Grande occupies his own top-priority spawn slot and lives in the noble house in town.
There are no neutral town guards of the kind you get in a normal city. The whole place is one faction's property, and its townsfolk and its armed force are the same people.
The reason to visit first is the people. Several named characters can spawn here (and equally in the Slave Markets to the south):

After Grande falls
Killing or kidnapping Grande triggers Eyesocket's town override: the camp becomes a ruin, and every inhabitant is dead or missing. The game data calls this version, bluntly, "Eyesocket (override) destroyed".
Tinfist's comment on it is equally blunt:
With Eyesocket destroyed, the Grey desert is looking all clear. Now we have an easy path for attack.
In other words the camp is not only a slave operation, it is also a nail in the road for the Anti-Slavers pushing north.
Trivia
- Eyesocket already existed in the Alpha version of the game, where it was a town rather than a slave camp.
- The name may come from its position: it sits right on the edge of the neighbouring zone, The Eye — an eye socket is the rim of an eye.
- The English wiki ranks the six labour camps by impact and places Eyesocket fourth, on the grounds that it supplies both Heng and Brink (which are in turn needed to take Cult Village) and blocks the Anti-Slavers from gaining a presence on the Stormgap Coast and in Heng. That is the wiki's own assessment, not in-game text.
