Grey DesertReport
English:Grey Desert · Locations
Desert. Unclaimed. Main settlements: Waystation.
The one stretch of road between the poisoned lands where you can still breathe. One waystation, a few caravans, and a few groups who wait specifically for caravans — nobody owns this place, only passes through it, along with the headless skeletons that drift in from the east still carrying out orders a thousand years old.

Notable units
| Name | Type | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bard | Recruitable | The Waystation bar | The bard who can turn up at any Tech Hunter waystation; useful for padding out the numbers before a run into the Deadlands. |
| Hobbs | Recruitable | The Waystation bar | A mad old man who loves telling stories about the old days; take the “interested in hearing it” line and he joins for nothing. Talk back to him and the chance is gone for good. |
| Silvershade | Recruitable | The Waystation bar | A Hive Prince away from his hive whose legs the casino will break if the debt goes unpaid; combat skills 10. |
| Wall Man | Recruitable | The Waystation | Randomly named Hive worker drone with a passion for building walls; genuinely useful if you plan to plant a base on the edge of the Deadlands. |
| Slaver Caravan Boss | Hostile | Roams the zone (while Grande or Longen live) | Head of a slaver caravan with 7–14 guards; anyone who goes down in this zone gets picked up and sold. |
| Caravan Trader Boss | Merchant | Roams the zone (Traders Guild caravans, while Longen lives) | A Traders Guild caravan with 7–11 guards and pack animals — one of the few mobile restock points in the Grey Desert. |
History
- The Tech Hunters put a waystation here for a simple reason: west of it lie the Deadlands and Black Desert City, and nobody walks into those empty-handed.
- Venge's failing thralls spill out along the border and go on carrying out orders the Second Empire issued a thousand years ago.
- On the same road, the Empire's Rebel Farmers run outward and the slaver caravans haul inward — and the two run into each other often.
