Camp BedReport
English:Camp Bed · Items & Equipment
An unfolded sleeping bag. Place it anywhere outside a town, heal four times as fast, then deconstruct it and get the bag back — forever. Bandit and mercenary camps come with free ones, and they do not care what your relations are.
A bed that can be used out in the wilds. Gives a 400% heal rate when sleeping. — in-game description
A Camp Bed is essentially an unfolded Sleeping Bag. The bag is the inventory item; the bed is what it looks like on the ground. Place it through the Build Menu anywhere outside town borders — or inside a building you own in town — and it goes up in 0 hours. Deconstruct it when you are done and the bag comes back untouched. One sleeping bag lasts the whole game.
It does exactly one thing, and that thing matters: natural recovery in the wilds is agonisingly slow, and sleeping on a camp bed heals organic damage four times faster and restores blood and oil twice as fast. Carrying a stack of first aid kits and no sleeping bag is one of the most common beginner mistakes.
Camping buildings — camp beds, campfires, tents — do not create a player outpost, so you can camp anywhere without triggering everything that owning a base entails.
Free ones already on the map
A number of camps spawn with camp beds already built, and you may sleep in them regardless of your relations with whoever owns the camp:
- Blood Bandit Camp, Bounty Hunter Camp, Exile Camp, Mercenary Camp
- The ones scattered around Berserker Village
