Bounty Hunter CampReport
English:Bounty Hunter Camp · Locations
A temporary camp on the ridge of Watcher's Rim, with harpoon turrets set up. Everyone in it is waiting on the same head — the Bugmaster's — and not one of them has set off.
Here for the bugmaster's head too, are we? Guess you're either a person with nothing to lose or a person with everything to gain... — Bounty Hunter
Bounty Hunter Camps are temporary camps that spawn randomly for the Bounty Hunters in Watcher's Rim.
What Watcher's Rim is
Watcher's Rim is the mountain range surrounding Arach, and at the bottom of the Arach crater sits the Bugmaster.
In the game data the range is almost empty.
- No major towns, no minor outposts, no ancient locations
- No nests spawn, and no homeless squads spawn
- No seasons — no weather is generated in this zone at all
- Water 0, fertility 0, green 0; stone 0.5, iron 0.5, copper 0.6
Nothing grows here, there is nothing to hunt, and there is not even weather. Two things appear on this ridge and nothing else — Bounty Hunter Camps and Mercenary Camps.
What they are doing here
The answer is direct. They are waiting to kill the Bugmaster.
Bounty Hunters are adventurers who live off the bounties of bandits, criminals and other wanted persons, mostly drawn from United Cities citizens (+60 relations with the UC). The bounty on the Bugmaster is 100,000 Cats, posted by both the Shek Kingdom and the Tech Hunters — one of the largest in the game, with a note on the poster that any valuables or artifacts found during the apprehension are yours to keep.
So Watcher's Rim became a ring of campfires around a prize. The bounty hunters in the camp can be talked to, and they will discuss the Bugmaster with you — every one of them hoping to be the one who takes him.
What is in the camp
- Harpoon Turrets — manned by the bounty hunters themselves. This is the biggest difference between this and an ordinary bandit camp; check which way the barrels are pointing before you walk in
- Camp beds — temporary camps usually spawn camp beds, and they are free for the player to use
Watcher's Rim also spawns Mercenary Camps, where a Mercenary Captain will hire out troops. A squad that wants the Bugmaster but lacks bodies can solve that on the same ridge.
What these people are worth
A standard Bounty Hunter is a Greenlander with a 50% chance of being female, combat stats of 45 (±15), a Desert Sabre on the back, and a weapon that is 90% likely to be Catun Scrapmaster. Apparel is Standard grade 85% of the time, High grade 15%.
