Blood Bandit CampReport
English:Blood Bandit Camp · Locations
Randomly spawning camps of the Bloodraiders in Spine Canyon, and the only fixed asset they own anywhere. The camp beds are free, once you have dealt with 3 to 10 bandits who are hostile to literally everyone.
Blood Bandit Camps, also called Bloodraider Camps, are randomly spawning camps belonging to the Bloodraiders. They can only spawn in Spine Canyon, up to four at a time.
Why a random camp gets an article
Because these are the only static locations belonging to the Bloodraiders anywhere on the map. They have no city, no fort, no headquarters — these temporary camps, which appear and vanish at random, are the organisation's entire real estate.
Who is inside
The standard spawn is 3x Bloodraider Patrol, each of 3 to 10 Blood Raiders. A full camp can therefore be holding thirty of them.
Bloodraiders spawn as Greenlander at relative chance 100 and Shek at 35, and the faction starts at −100 relations the moment you discover them. There is no negotiating here.
What is in the camp
Each camp spawns 2 to 7 items at random, with these relative chances (higher means more common).
| Item | Relative chance |
|---|---|
| Cup | 300 |
| Water Jug | 200 |
| Wooden Bowl | 200 |
| Damaged Book | 100 |
| Empty Grog Can | 100 |
| Book | 50 |
| Chewsticks | 50 |
| Dried Meat | 50 |
| Greenfruit | 50 |
| Hashish | 22 |
| Cactus Rum | 5 |
| Grog | 5 |
Which is to say the haul is mostly junk — cups, bowls, empty cans. The real value is the camp beds.
The camp beds
Blood Bandit Camps spawn camp beds, and those beds are free for the player to use. Spine Canyon is a rocky shelf where the sandstorms almost never stop, the extreme sandstorms give stat debuffs to unprotected characters, and the zone contains exactly one settlement — the Cactus Den, which belongs to the Sand Ninjas.
In terrain like that, a bed you can take by force is worth far more than the cups sitting next to it.
One odd detail
In other words, the camp you stumble into in northern Spine Canyon is a very long way from where its owners normally operate.
