Cannibal VillageReport
English:Cannibal Village · Locations
The small outposts the Cannibals scatter across the Plains and Darkfinger — tents, beds, makeshift metal shacks and a ring of prisoner cages. Staging grounds and rest areas, and the starting position for the Cannibal Hunters game start.
A Cannibal Village is a minor outpost created by the Cannibals to serve as a staging ground and rest area for their faction. They leave from here, and they come back to here.
How many, and where
| Region | Count | Position |
|---|---|---|
| Cannibal Plains | 3 | South-west, south-east and west-south-west of the Cannibal Capital |
| Darkfinger | 2 | Plus the named First Village |

What a village looks like
The composition is simple, and telling:
- Tents
- Beds
- Makeshift metal shacks
- Prisoner cages
The first three are for the living. The fourth is not.
Darkfinger is a finger of land reaching into the northern sea, with painted tribes living along its knuckles; at its northern tip, First Village is the home of the King of Meat, and the thing at the centre of that village is not a plaza but a ring of cages. Being knocked down here is not called losing — it is called being served. A Cannibal Village is that rule in miniature.
The garrison
Multiple roaming squads are usually resting in the village or patrolling nearby. Broadly:
| Squad | Contents |
|---|---|
| Cannibal Homeguards ×3 | Each with 2 Cannibal Chiefs and 9–13 Cannibals |
| Cannibal Scrawnies ×2 | Each with 10–35 Scrawny Cannibals |
| Cannibal Raid ×1 | 6–25 Cannibals |
| Cannibal Scrawny ×1 | 10–35 Scrawny Cannibals |
Individually a Scrawny Cannibal is weak — the count is what drowns you. The real problem is the Cannibal Chiefs.
A game start begins here
The Cannibal Hunters game start is a two-character squad that begins at a random Cannibal Village.
The design intent is not subtle: it drops the player, on turn one, in the last place anyone should be standing.
Why the player cares
A Cannibal Village is not a treasure site. It is a source of threat.
The Cannibal Plains have 60% water, 75% fertility and iron and stone everywhere, and are still the worst fertile ground on the continent to settle — because of these villages. Any player who wants a base in the area will have to deal with them eventually. Any player who wants to train Field Medic or combat will never run short of supply.
