Hidden ForestReport
English:Hidden Forest · Locations
Rocky open woodland. Unclaimed. Main settlements: Flotsam Village.
Woodland with more rock in it than trees, and still the best water and fertility in the north. The Holy Nation writes it off as “monster country” and will not come in, so the people who fled the Holy Nation built their village on the cannibals' doorstep — go down here and you do not get robbed, you get eaten.

Notable units
| Name | Type | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moll | Hostile boss | Flotsam Village (the Flotsam Ninjas' HQ, the swamp dome) | Leader of the Flotsam Ninjas and a super boss, flanked by three Flotsam Jonin and twelve Flotsam guards. It is in front of her that you choose between the Holy Nation and the Flotsam Ninjas; kill or imprison her and the whole village falls to the cannibals. A female or non-human character who hands her in for the bounty gets arrested by the Inquisitor along with her. |
| Digna | Recruitable | Flotsam Village (the Flotsam bar) | A runaway out of Stack — her father caught her trying to leave, she killed him, and she ran to the Flotsam Ninjas. Heading out into the wilds triggers a monologue about her nightmares. |
| Pia | Recruitable | Flotsam Village (the Flotsam bar) | Very fast (Athletics 50, Strength 20), and like Miu she calls out warnings unprompted — she is the one who tells you Paladins are closing in. |
| Knife | Recruitable | Flotsam Village (the Flotsam bar) | Combat skills of 10 across the board; the 6,000 Cats she takes she intends to send home to her mother in Stack. |
| Reva | Recruitable | Flotsam Village (the Flotsam bar) | A Flotsam apprentice whose temper kept her from ever graduating; she refuses to be recruited by human men and will only go with women or with races that are not “pure blood”. |
| Flotsam Recruit | Recruitable | Flotsam Village (the Flotsam bar) | Randomly named female Flotsam Ninja recruits, and you can meet them repeatedly — the cheapest way to add bodies here outside the four unique characters. |
| Mani | Merchant | The northern scout outposts (on the Hidden Forest / Cannibal Plains border, one of the two) | The Flotsam Ninjas' second in command and captain of their defence, a former cannibal hunter; get the conversation right and he will sell you everything in the outpost — first aid kits, skeleton repair kits and a stack of maps. |
| Cannibal Chief | Hostile | Cannibal camps, and Flotsam Village once Moll has fallen (one chief per building, each with 7–13 cannibals) | The cannibals' second-tier leaders; the head goes to the Holy Nation or the United Cities. Once Moll is dead Flotsam Village becomes a cannibal village, and several chiefs turn up here at once. |
History
- The women and escaped slaves who fled the Holy Nation deliberately settled on the edge of cannibal ground, because this is the one place the Holy Army will not follow.
- Holy Lord Phoenix calls this whole stretch of forest “monster country”, and the Holy Nation's advance really does stop at the treeline.
