The heart of the Holy Nation: river water, wheat fields, and a holy flame said to have burned five thousand years without going out. One of the few places in the wastes that lets you forget you are in the wastes — provided you look enough like one of Okran's children.

Notable units
| Name | Type | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Holy Lord Phoenix | Hostile boss | Blister Hill, the inner-city throne room | The Holy Nation's 62nd Holy Lord. The throne room holds 14 High Paladins plus his personal guard; handed over alive to Esata in Admag or to the sheriff in Heft, he is worth about 100,000 Cats either way (Holy Nation relations -75). |
| Protector of the Flame | Hostile | Blister Hill, the inner-city throne room | Phoenix's elite personal Paladin. His stats are among the highest of any character in the game, and killing him only spawns a replacement. |
| Griffin | Recruitable | The bars in Bad Teeth and Blister Hill | A former Holy Nation soldier with 20 in strength, dexterity, melee attack and defence, and every melee weapon class. The 9,000 Cats he asks is only there to prove you are the 'wealthy traveller' of his dreams. |
| Bard | Recruitable | The bars in Bad Teeth and Blister Hill | A bard with 1 in every stat and a treacherous personality. You buy him purely for the unique lines — the singing and the storytelling that never stop on the road. |
| Holy Nation Female Recruit | Recruitable | Blister Hill, Bad Teeth | A Greenlander woman looking to leave the Holy Nation and find work. Randomly named, and one of the few female characters you can recruit in the Holy Nation's three great cities. |
| Traders Guild Pacifier | Merchant | Blister Hill | Pays to repair your standing with the Traders Guild. The worse the damage, the higher the asking price; at worst it takes several separate payments to clear. |
| Holy Farm Leader | Merchant | The four Holy Farms inside Okran's Pride | The only NPC on a Holy Farm you can talk to. Buys and sells cotton, greenfruit, wheat and other produce, plus livestock. |
History
- The claim that the holy flame has never gone out is the bedrock of the Holy Nation's legitimacy, and the reason this region carries Okran's name at all.
- The Shek Kingdom and Kral's Chosen have spent decades trying to push north into it, and Seta's southern line has held every attempt outside the zone border; the day he falls, Shek patrols turn up in the wheat fields.

The channel's verdict: Recommended
- Copper Copper is scarce, and the nodes you do find are all low quality — Paul Rogers says few regions in the whole game have copper this poor.[V1 0:10:32]

- Distance to supplies You can harvest and loot the Holy Farm crop fields outright without being arrested, which means the resources for early farming cost you nothing.[V1 0:11:06]
- Raids The local River Raptors come to chew on your crops, but their health and combat stats are low; two turrets are enough to handle them.[V1 0:11:40]

- Hazards The biggest selling point of Holy Nation territory is safety: no Beak Things, no Cannibals, no spiders, and fewer attacks on the base as well.[V1 0:14:59]

- Distance to supplies The location is near the centre of the map: wherever in Holy Nation territory you settle, important places and cities to sell in are never far off.[V1 0:12:12]

- Raids Being too safe has a price — with only Starving Bandits and River Raptors to train against, character levels barely climb, so Paul Rogers suggests pairing the base with a squad that goes out adventuring.[V1 0:13:19]
