The man who takes money to repair your standing with the Traders Guild. The worse the damage, the higher the price — anywhere from 15,000 to 100,000 Cats, and in the worst cases it takes several payments.
The Traders Guild Pacifier is the Traders Guild's designated fixer. He has exactly one line of business: take your money and repair whatever you broke between yourself and the Guild.
The price
The fee is not fixed. The worse your standing, the more he demands — the range runs from 15,000 Cats up to 100,000 Cats.

Some damage cannot be paid off
Money does not always work. There are conditions under which the Pacifier will simply refuse:

A book about them
The game contains a book called The Pacifier: Guidance for a Troublemaker, signed by one Yara — an address list of every faction's Pacifier, compiled after she had managed to enrage two of the great powers at once. Her conclusion is blunt:
My point, friend, is that no matter what kind of bad day you're having, all problems can be solved!... With money. Otherwise you're pretty screwed.
The book turns up only in The Great Library and in Black Market Bars. The Traders Guild entry in her list reads Blister Hill.
