YamduReport
English:Yamdu · Characters
Longen's Noble Squire Supreme and the Traders Guild's alliance desk. He is also one of the game's stranger oversights — never flagged as a unique character, he respawns every time you leave town and come back, which means you can in theory field an entire squad of Yamdus.
Can I help you, sir? At your service for all membership enquiries! — Yamdu
Yamdu is the "Noble Squire Supreme" under his master Longen, head of the Traders Guild, and a Hive Prince. He stands inside the Guild's headquarters in Trader's Edge — the mouthpiece of the most commercially capable organisation on the continent.
His personality tag is Fearful. A character posted at the heart of the slave trade, flagged by the game itself as timid, says a fair amount on its own.

The man who sells you an alliance
Talk to Yamdu and he will offer you an alliance with the Traders Guild:
| Condition | Price |
|---|---|
| Standard | 100,000 Cats |
| Player already owns an outpost | 75,000 Cats |
Beyond the alliance, you can also ask him which war would best profit the Traders Guild — one of the few conversations in the game that states quite so plainly that the Guild makes money out of wars.
When the alliance goes through, he hands you a Membership Pack in person.
Getting him into your squad
Yamdu is free, but the route is indirect:
- Defeat Tinfist, leader of the Anti-Slavers.
- Return to Trader's Edge and talk to Longen.
- Longen turns and tells Yamdu to "take good care" of your character — and Yamdu joins your faction.
There is an irony in the handover: the way he changes hands is not so different from the way the town's other main line of business closes a sale.
An army of Yamdus
Yamdu is not marked as a Unique character. In the game data this is an oversight, and the consequence is direct: leave Trader's Edge, come back, and a fresh Yamdu has spawned in the headquarters.
Go in and out repeatedly and you can recruit him repeatedly — in theory building a squad made up entirely of Yamdus. It is one of the most widely circulated recruitment exploits in the community.
Worth noting: once recruited he has no special dialogue at all. Bring home a whole squad of them and they will follow you in silence.

This is plainly not a combat character. Engineer 70, Labouring 70, Farming 70, Cooking 70 — he is base labour, and rather good base labour at that. Once you have an outpost up, characters who can build, farm and cook are harder to come by than characters who can fight.
