Stone CampReport
English:Stone Camp · Locations
A slave quarry camp sitting exactly between Stoat and Sho-Battai, with ten stone mines, two processors and a corpse furnace. The bar here has no bartender, because nobody intended for the slaves to leave.
Stone Camp is a slave camp in The Great Desert, controlled by the Slave Traders. Its position is blunt: it sits directly on the road between Stoat and Sho-Battai, almost exactly halfway.
That is not an accident. Stone Camp exists because of that road — it is a way station on a supply line, where the supply is stone and the labour is people.
An actual quarry
Unlike the Slave Markets, which produces nothing at all, Stone Camp is a genuine industrial site:
| Facility | Qty |
|---|---|
| Stone Mines (types I and IV) | 10 |
| Stone Processor III | 2 |
| Swamp Lookout Tower | 2 |
| Wind Turbine | 1 |
| Small Shacks (3 cages and a Power Station Small) | 4 |
| Noble House | 1 |
| Slaver Barracks (labelled "Slaver Bar") | 1 |
| Slave Shop | 1 |
| Corpse Furnace | 1 |
| Iron nodes outside the walls | 2 |
Its stone supplies Stoat, Heng and Trader's Edge, and ostensibly some of the northern Samurai Army as well.
A bar with no bartender
The camp has buildings labelled "Slaver Bar", but there is no vendor inside any of them.
That has one direct gameplay consequence: Stone Camp spawns no Slave Recruits. At other slave holdings the bar is at least a place where people come and go; here it is the slaver barracks with a different sign on the door.
If you want to pick up recruits at a slaver site, go somewhere with an actual bartender, like the Slave Markets or Eyesocket.
Haga
Slave Master Haga is a Traders Guild noble living in the camp's Noble House, attended by 4 hooded Empire Noble Guards and 4 Samurai Heavies. He wears Specialist armour (10% chance of Masterwork), carries a Longsword and a Noble's Robe, and keeps an Advanced First Aid Kit, Luxury Goods and Hashish on him.
His personality setting is Fearful — the man running ten mines and a corpse furnace is, per the game's own tag, a coward.
The wiki also records a knock-on effect: the malnourished Samurai Rogue spawns in Bast and The Great Desert are directly tied to Slave Master Haga and the Stone Camp he lives in. This camp's reach is considerably larger than its footprint.
What it means for the player
Three angles:
- You will walk past it. It is on the Stoat-to-Sho-Battai road and hard to avoid.
- A noble's head. Beat the eight bodyguards and you have severed a stone supply line into the northern United Cities.
- Do not come here to recruit. No bartender means no Slave Recruits.
