Rebel SwordsmenReport

English:Rebel Swordsmen · Factions

The Rebel Farmers’ armed wing, and the half of the rebellion that does not rob people. They do not exist until United Cities Nobles start dying, and their patrols are malnourished even after they have won.

The Rebel Swordsmen are the insurgent faction allied to the Rebel Farmers — the militia half of the same movement. Unlike the farmers, they do not engage in banditry: they patrol and they police.

They are not in the world at the start. They only begin to exist once some of the United Cities Nobles have been killed or kidnapped — the rebellion arms itself only after somebody has proved the nobles can die.

What they are, in composition

They are better organised and better equipped than the Rebel Farmers, and they mix Scorchlanders into ranks the farmers do not — which makes their racial spread look like the United Cities itself, minus Shek and Hive Princes. The army that replaces the Empire is built the same way the Empire was.

Their patrols are still malnourished. Winning did not feed anybody.

Who they fight

Allying with the Rebel Farmers makes the Rebel Swordsmen allies too — the two move together. They stand at −100 with the United Cities and only −50 with the Slave Traders; Fandom records the gap as a point of character, noting they are not as enthusiastically against slavers as they are against the Empire.

During civil-war town overrides they attack neutral factions indiscriminately. If Empire Peasants hold the major towns, Rebel Swordsmen barracks can appear in them, and they can end up holding Fort Simion and the Raider Camp.
