A swamp village north of Shark where Big Fang of the Twinblades lives and the Blackshifters run the bar. It rolls more unique recruits than any other swamp village — Shark included.
Mud Town is a Swampers village inside The Swamp, north of Shark.
There are two ways to find it: trudge through the swamp yourself, or get hold of a Map of the Swamps and read it.
Who is here
The village belongs to the Swampers on paper; in practice three factions each hold a piece of it.
- Twinblades — their leader Big Fang lives here, and the Twinblades Hideout is inside the village.
- Blackshifters — the local bar is theirs (the Blackshifter Casino Bar).
- Swampers — the general population.
The Anti-Slavers pacifier can also be found here, making Mud Town one of the few places to repair that relationship.
The best recruiting ground in the swamp

Why the player cares
The Swamp is the most fertile ground on the map and it will only grow hemp. No nobles collecting tax, no priests preaching — so everyone who ran out of a kingdom walks into this fog. Mud Town is what that sentence looks like on the map: a village with no government, a drug dealer on the main path, and a bar run by a gang. It is also the easiest place in the wasteland to hire good people.
The two facts are not in tension. The kind of person who turns up in the Mud Town bar had nowhere else to go either.
