TwinbladesReport
English:Twinblades · Factions
The smallest of the Swamp's five gangs and the one with the worst name. They run kidnappings and ransoms, and anyone who cannot pay gets taken apart and sold for parts.
Those guys, they're about as crazy as them come, they gimme the goddamn creeps. They traffic organs, do kidnappin's and ransoms too. Okran knows where they get their...stock...from. You know what, I don't want to know. I ain't pissin' em off any time soon though, that's for sure. — Swamper Barman
The Twinblades are the smallest of the five gangs of The Swamp — and the only one of the five that controls no settlements at all.
Their reputation runs in exactly the opposite direction from their size.
The business
The Twinblades are a gang of Scorchlanders who deal in kidnapping and ransoms.
The part that unsettles even the Swamp is what comes after: those who cannot pay are killed and their organs harvested. They are also known to extort doctors and surgeons for organs — meaning their supply does not come only from the people they take.
In a place where street fights are routine and everyone runs something illegal, the Twinblades are the name the barman would rather not discuss.
Big Fang
Big Fang leads the Twinblades. He is a male Scorchlander with a Maniacal personality.
Notably, despite being a leader he has no Diplomatic Status — there is no negotiating with him the way you can with Big Grim. That fits the gang's position exactly: they are not part of the Swamp's power structure, merely people who live inside it.
He is normally found in Mud Town, the village north of the city of Shark.
The rank and file
A generic Twinblade:
- Always a Scorchlander, evenly split by gender
- Maniacal personality, like their boss
- Carries a Wakizashi made by Catun Scrapmaster
- Wears [Shoddy] armour (5% chance of [Standard]): Armoured Face Plates, Drifter's Leather Jacket or Leather Vest, Leather Shirt or Leather Turtleneck, Drifter's Leather Pants, Drifter's Boots or Plated Longboots
They roam the city of Shark or stay in Mud Town, so you do not have to go looking for them — spend enough time in Shark and you will walk past one.
World state: the small gang's opening
The Twinblades normally hold nothing, but one situation gives them ground inside a city:
If Big Grim and Big Darkbrow are killed or imprisoned while Big Gray is still alive, Shark is overwritten — and the Twinblade hideout can then be found there.
In other words, the weakest of the five only expands when somebody else falls.
Where they sit in the Swamp
| Gang | Leader | Settlements |
|---|---|---|
| Hounds | Big Grim | Shark, Rot |
| Blackshifters | Big Darkbrow | Casinos in Shark and Mud Town |
| Grayflayers | Big Gray | Grayflayer Village |
| Stone Rats | Big Al | Stone Rat Village |
| Twinblades | Big Fang | None |
The understanding between the Swampers and the five gangs is what keeps this region in order, and the Twinblades hold the weakest hand at that table — no city, no fields, no diplomatic status. Only a trade everyone is afraid of.
