Lagoon BarmanReport

English:Lagoon Barman · Characters

The barkeeper of Flats Lagoon. He will tell you how to get into the Ashlands and sell you sleeping bags, repair kits, six maps and five kinds of backpack on the way out — the last resupply window before the deep south.

On route to the Ashlands? Guess you'll be looking to stock up. — Lagoon Barman's greeting

The Lagoon Barman is a named Tech Hunter shopkeeper who runs the bar in Flats Lagoon.

His personality is always Smart — most NPCs roll theirs at random; he does not. Given the job, that is not surprising. He runs the last properly functioning bar this far south, and most of his customers are heading for the Ashlands.

He tells you how to get into the Ashlands

Beyond the standard shopkeeper dialogue, the Lagoon Barman's specific function is to give the player tips on how to enter the Ashlands.

The bar is also the regular haunt of the legendary tech hunter Chad, with 6–8 Ninja Guards living in the building.

His shelves

The bar caps at 100 items, restocks every 24 hours, and is open both day and night — a rare courtesy in the wasteland.

Medical and supplies: Advanced, Standard and Basic First Aid Kits, Splint Kits, Skeleton Repair Kits, and the rare Authentic Skeleton Repair Kit. Sleeping Bags and Tools as well.

Food and drink: bread, rice bowls and cactus rum are guaranteed; alongside dried fish, dried meat, foodcubes, gohan, greenfruit, grog, meatwraps, sake, water and water jugs, with bloodrum turning up occasionally.

Backpacks: the part of this shop most worth remembering.

TipFlats Lagoon probably has the largest selection of backpacks in the game. Note that the Bull and Garru Backpacks cannot be worn by a human character — they are pack-animal gear, bought so a caravan can carry five or six extra stacks of trade goods.

Blueprints: Camp Shelter, Mercenary Tent, Scrap Tent.

Combat

He essentially cannot fight. Strength, Dexterity, Melee Attack, Melee Defence and every weapon skill sit at 20, Athletics 20, Field Medic just 5, and Engineer, Science and Labouring all at 0. Randomised by ±5, armour Shoddy.

He does carry a Catun Scrapmaster Topper, but on a southern shopkeeper that reads more as furniture than as a plan.
