The Pits EastReport
English:The Pits East · Locations
Acid-rain rock flats. Crab Raiders. Main settlements: Crab Town.
A band of Scorchlanders worshipped crabs into godhood out here in the acid rain, and then actually built a capital, a smithy and a tournament ground. This is one of the few bandit states in the wastes that will give you a choice — provided you do not tell the Crab Queen that crabs are stupid.

Notable units
| Name | Type | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crab Queen | Hostile boss | Crab Town, the Crab Queen's palace | The Crab Raider leader, classed as a super boss, carrying a Meitou polearm and one of the few targets with a 40,000 bounty and no wanted poster at all; if she dies or is imprisoned Crab Town falls to the Fishmen. The Crab Raiders inside town are not hostile to a neutral player, but if a wilderness patrol is chasing you the gate guards will join in against you. |
| Lumi | Recruitable | Crab Town | A unique recruit with an extreme love of crabs and a cowardly personality; her dialogue is the same whether or not you are allied with the Crab Raiders. |
| Crab Man | Merchant | Crab Town, the crab shop | A randomly named Crab Raider shopkeeper who will sell you crabs even without an alliance; the full Crab Armour set and its blueprints, though, require allying with the Crab Raiders first. |
| Crabsmith | Merchant | Crab Town, the crab smithy | Stocks up to 55 items and is the only shop this deep in the Pits that can take loot in bulk; together with the crab bar it makes absurdly remote Crab Town unexpectedly useful. |
| Amateur Recruit | Recruitable | Crab Town | A randomly named unique recruit who threatens the player out of nerves because you were staring at him; Crab Town is one of the few fixed places he appears. |
| Ex-Slave Recruit | Recruitable | Crab Town | A randomly named unique recruit written as a former slave whose freedom was bought; Crab Town is likewise one of his fixed spawn points. |
History
- On these acid-rain rock flats the Crab Queen raised a pack of bandits into a society — a capital, a tournament, and one crustacean they all believe in.
- The moment the Crab Queen is killed or caged, Crab Town goes into the Fishmen's mouths, bar and smithy and all, and what patrols remain shrink to malnourished one-man squads.
- The Second Empire's supply outpost and Dead Workshop have been picked over for a thousand years; all that still guards the ancient tins nobody claimed are the Security Spiders.
