The EyeReport
English:The Eye · Locations
Dust desert. Unclaimed.
A crashed ring satellite lies in the middle of the dust, thousands of years down and still turning, still spitting sand out across the flats. No town, no law — only the bandits, skimmers and slaving parties that circle the carcass.

Notable units
| Name | Type | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bloodraiders | Hostile squad | 全區遊蕩 | The most typical road robbers of The Eye, a band of three to eleven circling through the dust. They are hostile to every faction, so the moment you meet them you are enemies, with no greeting and no toll. Their only permanent camp spawns in Spine Canyon, so what you meet in The Eye is always a roving patrol. |
| Grass Pirates | Hostile squad | Wanders across the whole zone, patrolling in squads | A Straw Lieutenant leads a squad of five to twelve, wearing crude Sleeveless Dustcoats. They are always hostile to the player, and they have long been fighting the United Cities over territory, but that does not mean you are safe. Their weapons are poor, yet their unarmed fighting is tougher than that of the great majority of bandits, which makes them a real threat to a starting squad. |
| Manhunters | Hostile squad | Wanders across the whole region, patrolling in squads of five to fourteen | Squads that make their living catching escaped slaves, but they will also seize innocent travellers as "escaped slaves" and sell them to slave traders. The Eye has no towns and no guards anywhere in it, which means they can work freely — they will leave you alone only if your squad outnumbers theirs, or if you are already allied with the United Cities or the Traders Guild. If a character really is an escaped slave, they will drag them back no matter how many people you have. |
| Sand Ninjas | Hostile squad | Wanders throughout the region; occasionally a single Jounin appears alone | Highway robbers who single out travellers they think they can beat. They are the smallest bandit group in the north, but every one of them is trained, which makes them harder to handle than ordinary bandits. Allying with the United Cities or the Traders Guild, or killing their leader, will stop them from raiding your base. |
| Skimmer | Hostile wildlife | The sands across the whole region, appearing alone | A large insect that lives in the sand. It is extremely aggressive and pounces as soon as you come close, and it also feeds on corpses. What spawns in The Eye are individuals that hunt alone, and these individuals do not rest, searching for something to eat day and night. They move more slowly than a player character, so you can outrun them, but they are still a real threat to a character at the start of the game. There are no nests of theirs in this region, so you will not run into ambushes buried in the sand. |
| Bonedog | Hostile wildlife | Roams the zone in packs, and gathers around randomly generated wolf dens (at most three dens in the zone) | Wild Bonedogs move in packs and are territorial: anything that comes near their patrol routes or their den gets pounced on. They are drawn by the smell of corpses and will eat the bodies they find — after another group has finished a fight, they are often the ones who take over (they do not eat the living, so playing dead does not help). Here there are packs patrolling by day, as well as lone individuals travelling by themselves. |
History
- The ring structure at the centre of the zone is a First Empire orbital weapon, and it has never truly shut down since it fell.
- A skeleton walking through here says “that thing is still running” — and over in neighbouring Venge, the same skeletons are talking about “the other one”.
