Outlaw HeavyReport
English:Outlaw Heavy · Characters
The closest thing the Rebel Farmers have to heavy infantry — mercenary plate over a holed sabre. Only one in ten carries a bounty, but when they do it is the same bracket as a captain, so it pays to open each one.
Outlaw Heavies are a unit type of the Rebel Farmers, and the closest thing this rebellion has to heavy infantry.
They form the core of the heavy squads that roam Bast, the Grey Desert, Heng and Sinkuun. A squad is usually 3 to 7 Heavies, sometimes with 1 to 3 Outlaw Swordsmen tagging along, but always under an Outlaw Swordsman Captain.
Where you meet them
Besides the roaming patrols, there are fixed postings:
- The barracks at Fort Simion — 5 to 6 of them, plus 4 to 6 more serving as Boss Simion's personal bodyguard
- Peasant-controlled Port North, Port South and Slave Farm South — garrisoning the barracks
- Your own base — if you are allied with the Rebel Farmers, a heavy squad will turn up to help repel United Cities attacks on it
Two world states
Are they worth fighting
Only one in ten Outlaw Heavies carries a bounty, but when one does it runs 2,500 to 3,500 Cats — the same bracket as an Outlaw Swordsman Captain. Which means that after clearing a squad it is worth opening every body rather than only checking the leader.
Combat statistics
Taking the Greenlander version:
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Strength | 41–49 |
| Dexterity | 29–37 |
| Toughness | 21–29 |
| All six weapon skills / Melee attack and defence | 21–29 |
| Stealth / Lockpicking / Thievery / Field Medic | 29–37 |
| Dodge / Martial Arts | −1.5–6.5 |
| Assassination | 33 |
Figures randomise by ±4 and are then scaled by the racial multiplier. The armour is Shoddy (25% chance of Standard); what actually holds them up is the Mercenary Plate, not the numbers.
