River valley. The Holy Nation.
A river running the length of the Holy Nation, and the one file the Holy Nation would least like to acknowledge: a Second Empire market town lies on the riverbed, and the one shop still open down there has been run by a Skeleton for over nine hundred years. Fertility on the banks is zero, and even the patrols cannot be bothered.

Notable units
| Name | Type | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Armour King | Merchant | The Drowned Ruins (in the Wend riverbed, the wreck of the Second Empire's lost town of Catch) | A Skeleton master armourer, in business for 937 years, selling the highest quality armour in the game (relative weighting of Specialist 110 to Masterwork 50); the only way in is to swim up the river, and the beds upstairs are free. |
| Armour King's Thrall | Neutral | The Drowned Ruins | Four attendants with combat stats above 90; every NPC in the shop is above 90, so stealing is strongly discouraged. |
| Security Spider II | Neutral | The Drowned Ruins | The Armour King's sentries; they stay inert until theft or an attack sets them off. |
| Holy Nation Robot | Recruitable | Skeleton patrols of 1–4 along the Wend | A randomly named wandering Skeleton; when he calls out that he/she has seen me, click him, choose to repair him and declare against the Holy Nation, and he joins for free. There is a 48-hour cooldown once it triggers. |
| Blood Spider | Hostile wildlife | In front of the entrance to the Lost Library (following the Wend River will not get you there; you have to go around to the Rebirth side to find a way up) | A whole group stationed at the entrance to the library. A single one is fragile, but they come at you as a pack, and they can walk along the bottom of the water and follow you in, so swimming will not shake them off. If you want what is inside, you have to get past them first. |
History
- The Second Empire market town of Catch sank to the riverbed; its one remaining shopkeeper says he has stood in the same spot for nine hundred and thirty-seven years, which is the hardest dating anchor in the game.
- The metal bridge crossing the river north of Blister Hill is built to the same specification as those at Black Desert City and Fishman Island — surviving joints of an ancient transport network.
Getting there
