Leviathan CoastReport
English:Leviathan Coast · Locations
Coastal green plains. No man's land.
A wet green coast at the continent's northern tip. The Empire's watchtowers are still standing; the people inside them left a thousand years ago. There are no towns here, no bandits and no order — only Leviathans taking their walks across the ruins, and the Beak Things waiting at their feet for a Garru to stray.

Notable units
| Name | Type | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beak Thing | Hostile wildlife | Roaming across the whole region, and randomly generated Beak Thing nests (the highest-weighted nest type in this region) | The thing to fear most in this region. It runs faster than a person, so however high your Athletics you cannot shake it off, and once it catches up it starts eating people who are not yet dead. This region is one of their core spawn areas, so think it through before taking one head-on; if you do run into one, breaking line of sight and going back into stealth is often more useful than running for it. |
| Tech Hunters | Hostile squad | Wanders around the ruins across the whole region (in groups of one to five) | Do not let your guard down just because they are friendly elsewhere: the Tech Hunters squads by the ruins in this zone may turn it around and accuse you of "posing as Tech Hunters", and attack the moment they have said it. They do not turn on you every time, but this coast does not have a single town, and if they do there is nowhere to hide. |
| Cannibals | Hostile squad | The southern edge of this region, on the side toward the Cannibal Plains | There are no bandits along the whole coast, with one exception in the south: go too close to the Cannibal Plains and the bands of Cannibals that wander over from there will come for you. Building your base further north avoids them entirely, at the cost of a longer trade route. |
| Security Spider | Hostile wildlife | Lost Armoury (there are three in this region) | Machine spiders that guard the ruins, a step stronger than the Iron Spiders out in the wilds. Not every armoury has them stationed inside, but where they are, they come as a group, holed up in cramped interiors, and they do not leave the spot after a fight — when someone who was knocked out wakes up, they are still standing right there. A single swing can catch two characters at once if they stand too close, so keep your positions apart. If your Stealth is high enough, going around them is more practical than beating them. |
| Leviathan | Hostile wildlife | Wanders the plains throughout the region, alone or moving as a family with its young | It does not go looking for trouble under normal circumstances, but a lone individual may claim territory against a party of three or more and then charge the whole party — roughly a 10% chance against three, about 30% against four or more, and about 50% against six or more. It moves slowly and its detection range is small, so if you run you can usually get away; but once it lands a hit, its area attacks are heavy enough that a single stomp can trample an unprepared party. Attack any one of a family and the whole family fights back. |
| Bonedog | Hostile wildlife | Around randomly generated wolf dens | Wolf dens grow along this coast, with up to seven wolves to a den. They defend the den fiercely, and if your route hugs a den you can expect the whole pack to close in on you; going around where the dens are is worth more than beating them. |
History
- A line of 'Old Empire' watchtowers runs along this coast, yet the faction tag in the data sits under the Second Empire — the game has never squared up who actually built these ruins.
- The Lost Armoury and the Lost Library are strongboxes left behind by the ancients, and the only reason Tech Hunters are willing to head north past the Beak Thing nests.

The channel's verdict: Recommended
- Tax It lies in the far north, well beyond the reach of every major faction; the video does not mention owing tax to anyone.[V1 0:00:35]
- Defensible terrain Leviathans will chew straight through your base gate, and Paul Rogers even worries about one clipping into a wall and getting stuck, so walls and turrets are a hard requirement.[V1 0:01:09]
