High OverseerReport

English:High Overseer · Characters

The ranking authority at a Holy Mine, running both the slave labour and the whole garrison. He wears High Paladin colours but fights like an ordinary Paladin — the real danger is being knocked out near his gate.

The High Overseer is the ranking authority figure at a Holy Nation Holy Mine. Day-to-day operations run through him, and keeping the Lower Servants in line is also his job.

What he runs

Holy Mines are a series of small Holy Nation outposts — five in total, two in Okran's Gulf and three in Skinner's Roam. They are mining operations run on slave labour, and their locations can be marked by reading the Glorious Holy Map.

The Lower Servants inside, along with any bandits captured from the surrounding area, are caged in Slave Shops at night and driven out to work by day. The garrison is made up of Holy Sentinels and Paladins, with Slavers aligned to the Holy Nation apparently hired on as extra help.

NoteThe player cannot buy or sell slaves at a Holy Mine. This is not a slave market; it is a labour camp.

Easy to misread on sight

He looks a great deal like a High Paladin, minus two things: no Paladin's Cross, and no helmet.

TipHe wears High Paladin colours but is no stronger than a regular Paladin. The colour scheme is attached to the character rather than to the faction, which is why his shade differs from other Holy Nation units — do not read an unusual colour as an unusual threat.

Consequences of touching him

ImportantKilling a High Overseer does not destroy the Holy Mine. That sets him apart from many outpost bosses — the mine keeps running, it just changes hands.

The thing to actually worry about runs the other way: characters knocked out near the mine gates may be enslaved outright by the resident Overseer.

TipIf the goal is to empty a mine rather than fight it, Stealth and Assassination of around 50 is enough to knock people out and carry them off one at a time.
