SniperbotReport
English:Sniperbot · Characters
A lone Old Machines sniper wandering the south-east. Ranged 80 and a crossbow means the opening shot is close to a guaranteed hit — and Sniper Valley is probably named after them.
I don't like this place, feels like I'm being watched. We should move fast. — player characters entering Sniper Valley
Sniperbots are members of the Old Machines faction, patrolling the south-east of the continent.
Where they are
They spawn in Sniper Valley, Sonorous Dark, Stobe's Gamble, The Crags and The Pits.
Sniper Valley is very likely named after them. In that zone's homeless spawn table, Sniperbot carries a weight of 30 — the highest entry there, above Black Gorillo, Scavengers and the Leviathan.
Why they are dangerous
Three properties stack:
- They spawn alone. No squad, no formation — just one machine standing somewhere.
- They are hard to see. Stealth 70.
- The opening shot almost always lands. Ranged 80, with an Eagle's Cross crossbow.
You do not usually "meet" a Sniperbot. You find out one exists after someone gets hit.
Its melee weapon is a Longsword, and its armour is High grade with a 20% upgrade chance — which makes a downed Sniperbot worth stripping.
How to avoid one
The wiki offers two practical measures:
- Do not run in straight lines and do not leave the squad idling. Characters on a long auto-march or standing still are the ones who eat the bolt. Heavy armour meaningfully reduces the damage.
- Exploit an engine behaviour: an NPC with a ranged weapon reloads at a fraction of normal speed while off-screen, and often will not fire at all even once loaded. Zooming the camera in and angling it down makes sniper fire easy to dodge.
