A Shek prisoner locked in a cell inside Tengu's Vault. Recruiting him is free; getting him out of a military prison full of United Cities Samurai is not. He also carries a 25,000-cat bounty.
Sinklyde is a Shek Unique Recruit imprisoned within Tengu's Vault.
Tengu's Vault
On behalf of Lord Tengu, welcome to your new home! It's a bit on the small side, but a lick of piss on the walls should make it sparkle. You'll find the toilet in the corner next to your foot. Food is served at whenever-I-give-a-fuck o'clock. We have a great choice of meals... Shit scraped fresh from the floor... Rotten gutter entrails... or the tongue scalpel special. Nobody cares about you. It's my job to make you suffer. Enjoy your stay! — The Vault Warden
Tengu's Vault sits at the south end of the rocky Skimsands, guarded by United Cities Samurai, and appears to be a military prison for the empire's worst criminals. The gate guards warn you off as you approach and will attack if you trespass anyway — but if you are allied with the United Cities they only react verbally, which lets you walk in and look around.
He is not the only one held here: Luquin, Psycho, Espher, Screamy, Yabuta of the Sands and Hex are all inside as well.
Recruiting him
He costs nothing. The real barrier is where he is — you have to get him out of a cell inside a prison full of Samurai.
He is not strong, and he has no lines
The stats first: his skills sit around 10 (randomised by 3), with Strength 7.7–14.3 and Toughness 8.4–15.6. Measured against the difficulty of the rescue, that is a thin return.
And then something stranger: despite being a unique recruit, Sinklyde does not appear to have any unique dialogue at all. Once recruited he runs the generic "Player THUG" package, with a Maniacal personality.
Which leaves the rescue itself as the entirety of his content.
