A tongueless Hive Soldier Drone slave who can be bought off a drunk for 1,000 Cats. Every combat skill sits at 10, and if you kill his owner first the character is gone from that playthrough for good.

Ray is a unique recruit, a Hive Soldier Drone. He is a mute slave, and can be bought for 1,000 Cats from a character called Bar fly.
Where to buy him
- Eyesocket, on the Stormgap Coast
- The Slave Markets in the South Wetlands
Bar fly is a member of the Empire Peasants, and can be found lamenting her purchase over a drink while considering turning him into goat feed.
The cost
He cannot speak
Ray has no tongue, so he cannot interact with any shopkeeper or non-player character.
Starting state
He begins wearing Hive Prisoner Shackles, but those shackles are already unlocked and can simply be removed. He also carries the 'obedient slave' task flag, which means nothing at all, since he is owned by the player faction.
Statistics
Every combat skill is 10, with Toughness and Melee Attack at 12 and Athletics at 15; almost everything else is 1. He wears no armour.
