Old VillageReport

English:Old Village · Locations

A ruined village on the eastern side of the Great Desert, tucked between two dunes, with two wells still working. No enemies and no guards, and it happens to stock the exact three things a runaway needs — water, a bed and medical kits.

Old Village is a ruined town on the eastern side of The Great Desert, owned on paper by the Empire Peasants. The whole settlement sits between two wave-like dunes, which hides it rather well.

NoteThere is a second location on the continent also called Old Village, held by the Deadcat in a different zone. They are not the same place.

What is here

The village consists of the following.

No shops, no NPCs, no guards. This is a completely emptied village.

Inside the preserved buildings there is low-level loot — Fuel, Armour Plating, Iron Plates, Steel Bars, Building Materials, Electrical Components, Fabrics, Water Jugs, Cups, Wooden Bowls, Gears, Lantern, Advanced Splint Kits, Authentic Skeleton Repair Kits and Sleeping Bags.

Every house has at least one usable sitting box among the furniture remains.

Why the player cares

The value of the Old Village is not the loot. It is that this is a hiding place.

The Great Desert is where the Empire piled its capital, four major cities and three slave camps onto the same sand. Getting knocked out here usually does not end in death; it ends in being sold by weight. And the two things patrolling that sand are exactly the ones best at it.

No guards means nobody reports you here. Sitting between two dunes means patrols do not easily see you. And the houses hold Sleeping Bags, Advanced Splint Kits and Authentic Skeleton Repair Kits — hide, sleep, heal, all three covered in one stop. The two wells solve the desert's most basic problem on top of that.

TipFor a squad that has just broken out of the slave markets at Heft or Sho-Battai and is still wearing shackles, the Old Village is the most sensible first stop in the eastern desert. Patch up and fill the water here, then decide where to go.
