The Rebel Farmers' headquarters in Sinkuun, permanently a red dot on the map. Inside are a 20,000-Cat head, eight captains worth about 3,000 Cats each, and a barracks you can help yourself to.

Who the fuck are you? Be wantin' me bounty I 'spect, eh? That's all that ye traders, mercenaries and townies are interested in after all, ain't it? Don't matter who's pocket the Cats are in, as long as you can line yer own with 'em... — Boss Simion

Fort Simion is the Rebel Farmers' headquarters, in Sinkuun. Their leader, Boss Simion, lives in the Faction HQ.

NoteThe Rebel Farmers are not a resistance army. Their in-game faction type is Bandit, and they rob ordinary travellers. The name sounds like an uprising; the behaviour is highway robbery.

Red dot, but not necessarily a fight

The town always shows a red icon on the map, even if you have no hostile relations with the Rebel Farmers.

The actual behaviour is more nuanced:

In short: the red icon is the scary part, but it is the roaming squads that decide whether there is a fight.

Who is inside

BuildingContents
Swamp Dome (Faction HQ)1x Boss Simion, 8x Outlaw Swordsman Captain, 4-6 Outlaw Heavies, 0-2 Outlaw Swordsmen
Swamp Dome (Barracks)5-6 Outlaw Heavies, 4-6 Outlaw Swordsmen
3x Swamp Shack (Hideout)4-7 Outlaw Farmers

Another 3 Outlaw Farmers stand on the gates.

The gear artifact budget is 10,000 Cats, guaranteeing one Specialist Spring Bat inside the Faction HQ.

Raiding it

This is a numbers fight, not a skill fight. The rebels' individual quality and equipment are poor; what they have is bodies. Therefore:

TipContainers in the Barracks (not the Faction HQ) can be looted without it counting as theft. You can put items in and take them back out repeatedly with no consequence; stackable items plus shift-click to grab the whole stack works best. The Faction HQ chests are not covered by this.

Town overrides

Fort Simion is affected by two World States:

NoteRebel Swordsmen and Rebel Farmers are two different units, not the same group upgraded. The former only appear once United Cities nobles start dying off.

A piece of deleted history

The Alpha version of the game had a town called Fort Simion that was on par with the other major towns, and it was controlled by the Holy Empire.

The fort standing in Sinkuun today has nothing to do with that one — same name, different world.
