Black Desert NinjasReport

English:Black Desert Ninjas · Factions

The ninja bandits of the Deadlands. The faction has exactly one member type — the Cloud Ninja — and no protection against acid whatsoever, so the ground they chose kills them faster than any player does.

The Black Desert Ninjas are the ninja bandit faction of the dead country in the north-east. They have one feature that is genuinely rare in Kenshi: the faction consists of a single character type — the Cloud Ninja. No leader, no unique characters, no holdings at all. Just squads in grey-white wrappings walking around under acid rain.

A faction with one soldier type

Cloud Ninjas spawn in squads of 3 to 9, with a 44% chance of being female. The race weights are Greenlander and Scorchlander at 100 each and Hive Prince at 25 — so an occasional Hiver ninja does turn up.

Their stat spread leans hard in one direction:

StatValue
Strength / Toughness27–33
Dexterity42–48
Perception-2–4
All melee weapon skills, Melee Attack/Defence27–33
Dodge, Martial Arts0–6

Dexterity well above everything else means fast attacks; a Perception near zero means no ranged capability at all. With single-digit Dodge and Martial Arts, disarming one effectively removes it from the fight.

They carry a Ninja Blade, wear a Ninja Mask and Ninja Rags over a Dark Leather Shirt, Drifter's Leather Pants and Drifter's Boots, and keep a Basic First Aid Kit on them.

For an untrained squad, melee skills of 27–33 behind a fast ninja blade will kill people. But they have almost no armour worth the name, so the exchange runs both ways.

Ground: the Deadlands and its neighbours

The official patrol table lists three spawn zones: The Black Desert, Grey Desert and Iron Valleys. The wiki's prose casts the net wider — they can be met all over the Deadlands and its nearby regions.

They hold no settlements, and no world state ever hands them one. This faction is mobile from beginning to end.

The weather kills them faster than you do

The wiki is blunt about their situation: these ninjas are still (mostly) human, and therefore highly vulnerable to the region's lethal weather. They have no protection against acid, so they tend to die by attrition.

Two practical consequences:

  1. The ones you meet are often already half dead. Chasing them into the acid is a bad trade; standing on clean ground and letting them come to you wins half the fight for free.
  2. This faction cannot grow. No towns, no farms, no supply line, robbery as the only income — and territory that is steadily killing its own members.
TipIf you plan to operate here, fix your armour before your weapons. A squad with no cover and no acid protection wears down exactly the way the Cloud Ninjas do.

Their only diplomatic tie

In the faction relations table the Black Desert Ninjas have exactly one entry: Shinobi Thieves — coexistence. Everyone else gets the default of 0, meaning no standing quarrel.

That does not help you. They are classed as a bandit faction and are always hostile to the player, with no diplomatic route out of it.

They also carry a colour scheme, so armour and clothing they wear takes the faction colours.

Not the same as the other ninjas

Kenshi has a lot of groups with "ninja" in the name and none of them report to each other:
