The soldier drones the Southern Hive posts on captured ancient armouries; their weapons come out a grade better than other droneguards, and the wiki's guess is that those blades came out of the armoury under their feet.
Armoury Droneguards are members of the Southern Hive stationed inside the Hiver-Claimed Armoury.
Three armouries
There are only three Hiver-Claimed Armouries in the world: two in Greyshelf and one in the Royal Valley. Beyond those, the same tier of guard can appear in other settlements once the Southern Hive has taken them over.
The loot inside is Armour Plating, Chainmail Sheets and Steel Bars — for a squad crafting its own armour, that is the most useful resource point in the area.
Why their blades are better
This tier carries noticeably higher weapon quality than other droneguards. The wiki's explanation is blunt: the weapons were most likely looted from the armoury they took over.
The manufacturer spread is Catun Scrapmaster 47.62%, Skeleton Smiths 47.62% and Edgewalkers 4.76% — that last small number is the one to watch, as Edgewalkers is a distinctly high-end source.
Combat
Strength 30 and combat stats 55, randomised by ±3. Armour grade is High 80%, Specialist 20%, which is unusually solid for a rank-and-file unit.
They carry a Holed Sabre on the back and a Spiked Club at the hip — one cutting, one blunt, which means they are equipped to knock people out rather than kill them. The body slot is an even split between coloured Armoured Rags and Conscript Leather Armour, over a Rusted Hive Shirt, with a coloured Armoured Rag Skirt for legwear and a Basic First Aid Kit on hand.
