Screamer the FalseReport
English:Screamer the False · Characters
The other half of the Voodoo Brothers, and one of the two leaders of the Thrall Masters. The Meitou-grade Heavy Polearm he carries is the only one an NPC has in the whole game, and his name is itself a footnote on the word "counterfeit".
Make it past a few lasers and a human thinks it's invincible…
Screamer the False is one of the two leaders of the Thrall Masters, the other being Ponk. The pair hold the Tower of Abuse in Venge together, and their wanted poster is issued jointly under the name "the Voodoo Brothers".
This article covers his individual data; for the pair's shared origins, their production line and their prisoners, see The Voodoo Brothers.
The wanted poster
WANTED: Voodoo Brothers Screamer (Race: Skeleton) Ponk (Race: Skeleton) A pair of exceedingly clever and cruel frauds, wanted for gross malpractice after posing as medical and "ancient voodoo" practitioners in several cities. REWARD: 20,000 Cats each
Each is worth 20,000 Cats, and they are wanted by the United Cities and the Holy Nation simultaneously — an uncommon thing in Kenshi, given that the two great polities agree on almost nothing.
The "False" in the name
This is the most interesting piece of his design. "The False" is false relative to somebody else: the game files do contain a unique character called General Screamer, The True, belonging to the Skeleton MKII Screamer subrace — but that character is never actually spawned anywhere in the game world.
By the file data, the "True" one would wear armour of the same design at Masterwork quality, carry a Meitou-grade Naginata Katana, and have combat stats of 80.

The figures carry a random ±3 variance. Being a Skeleton, he neither eats nor drinks nor bleeds, and repairs himself after going down — what usually overwhelms the player is not him on his own but the tower's full garrison of thralls.
That polearm
The Heavy Polearm he carries is Meitou quality, and there are two things special about the item:
- No other NPC in the entire game uses a Heavy Polearm. Non-Meitou versions can only be obtained from animal nests, artefact spawn points or shops.
- Which means the one in his hands is the only Meitou-grade Heavy Polearm that can be prised off a corpse.
The Heavy Polearm itself is a hybrid of sabre and polearm: +30% armour penetration, +4 attack, +25% damage against animals and a reach of 26, at the cost of -4 indoors. It occupies a 1×10 footprint and can only be equipped in the primary weapon slot.
He also wears coloured Armoured Rags and an Armoured Rag Skirt, and carries a Skeleton Repair Kit.

Trivia
Although neither Screamer nor Ponk carries a first aid kit, if the player locks themselves into the cage on the tower's top floor the two of them will still bandage your wounds — and regardless of race. For a pair who make their living taking their own kind apart, the behaviour is peculiar indeed.
