Holy Farmer WifeReport

English:Holy Farmer Wife · Characters

The female residents of the Holy Farms — no labour schedule, no dialogue, no weapon. She is the only person on the farm who spawns carrying a container, and she runs indoors the moment fighting starts.

Holy Farmer Wives are the female residents of the Holy Farms. The wiki describes them as the wives of Holy Farmers and Holy Farm Leaders, though the game never states the relationship — "wife" is inferred from the character name.

Not every woman on a farm holds that role. Some of them are ordinary Holy Farmers who work the fields like anyone else.

What she does not do

The quickest way to understand this character is to put her next to the other two kinds of people on the farm.

Labour scheduleDialogueSpawns weaponBackpack
Holy FarmerYes, fields by dayNoYesNo
Holy Farm LeaderYesYes, tradesYesNo
Holy Farmer WifeNoNoNoYes

No labour schedule means you will not find her in the fields; no dialogue options means walking up to her produces nothing. She spends most of her time indoors in the same room as the Leader, and flees as soon as fighting starts.

The only one carrying anything

Of every character on a Holy Farm, only the Holy Farmer Wife spawns with a backpack, specifically a Scavenger's Basket. Holy Farmers do not get one, and neither does the Holy Farm Leader.

That has a blunt practical consequence. If you intend to start something on a Holy Farm, she is the only walking container on the property. If you are just passing through to resupply, the same basket makes her the easiest person there to rob.

Nobody here has a first aid kit

Holy Farmers, their wives and the Leader all spawn without first aid kits, and you see the result of that in play. Whenever Starving Bandits or River Raptors reach a farm, the farmers who go down tend to bleed out where they fall, because there is nobody to pick them up.

The wiki carries an image of the one reply a wife has in that situation: she climbs into a crossbow turret and shoots at the River Raptors. That fits her stat block, where Turrets and Precision Shooting both sit at 7–13 while Dodge and Martial Arts are down at -2–4. She spawns without a weapon, so when she does fight it is from the farm's fixed emplacements.

Statistics

Most entries land at 7–13, randomised by 3. That is a civilian number, nowhere near enough for any real threat.

The conspicuously low ones are Perception, Dodge, Martial Arts, Crossbows, Stealth, Lockpicking, Thievery, Engineer and Robotics, all at -2–4. Farming, Cooking and Science sit around 1.2, Labouring and Crossbow Smith around 1. Assassination is a flat 5.

TipThese are FCS base values. They are multiplied by the racial modifier, and NPCs level up while fighting exactly as the player does — so a farm that has been harassed for a long time may no longer match the table.

After Phoenix dies

If Lord Phoenix is dead and Esata is still alive, everyone on the farm — farmers, wives and Leader — switches to a different set of lines, mourning the Holy Lord and complaining about tributes they cannot afford being extracted by "barbarian devils". The implication is that Shek raiders have been shaking the farms down.

sigh Okran has forsaken us... The Holy Lord Phoenix himself is gone... And the barbarian devils hound us for tributes we can't afford.
NoteThe wiki notes specifically that this is a dialogue change and not a Town Override. The farm does not change hands, change appearance, or lose its residents.

A detail worth following

The way this character is built lines up closely with the gender rules the Holy Nation writes into scripture. She has no schedule, no voice, no weapon, stays indoors, and her marital status is something other people infer about her. In the same data set, Holy Farmers are 70% female — meaning most of the people actually working a farm are women, while "wife" is broken out as a separate role that does no work at all.

The game offers no explanation for that arrangement. The above is only what falls out of reading the stat blocks alongside the doctrinal texts, not something the game states.
