GorrilloReport
English:Gorrillo · Characters
The giant bandit chief nicknamed "the Boulder", holed up in the old prison of the Bonefields with a Strength approaching 90; the 50,000 Cats on his head is one of the highest bounties in the game.
"ME BORED OF TINY PEOPLE BREAKING INTO HOME. WHY ALWAYS TRY TO HUNT GORRILLO?"
Gorrillo is the leader of the Gorrillo Bandits, squatting in the Old Prison in the south-eastern corner of the Bonefields. The moment the player walks in, he opens with a complaint: more of those "tiny people" have come into his home to hunt him.
The wanted notice
WANTED: Gorrillo Race: Greenlander Gender: Male Description: Inhumanly large. Slow of mind. Also known as the Boulder. Wanted for robbery, assault and destruction of property, namely within the lost town of Mourn. Thought to be hiding out somewhere in the Forbidden Zone with his followers, the Gorrillo Bandits. Reward: 50,000 Cats
The money can be claimed in both the Shek Kingdom and the United Cities, and the nearest collection point to the Old Prison is Catun. His followers each carry a bounty of 5,000 Cats as well, although only around 3% of individuals actually have one on them.
The Old Prison
The architecture of the Old Prison betrays the fact that it has changed hands several times: the main tower is shaped exactly like an Ancient Tech Lab, it is ringed by distinctly well-made walls, and there is a collapsed watchtower. By the time Gorrillo and his heavies moved in, nobody could have counted how many previous uses the place had been through.
Apart from their leader, every Gorrillo Bandit is a Martial Artist, wearing only a Gi as body armour and light armour alone in the trouser and shirt slots. That gives them a very concrete combination of strengths and weaknesses: extremely vulnerable to ranged attack, but impossible to disarm once they are down.
Statistics
His Strength runs as high as 87–93, putting him in the game's front rank of freakish physical power; Toughness is 42–48, his various weapon skills and melee attack and defence sit around 42–48, and Dodge and Martial Arts are 32–38. Perception is close to zero. On the whole, he hits extremely hard, but he does not have the all-round crushing skill sheet of a superboss — the real difficulty is the crowd of martial artists inside the Old Prison.
How to fight him: wait for him to come out
There is a genuinely useful trick available: Gorrillo will sometimes carry knocked-out enemies out of the fortress himself and dump them. That amounts to him separating himself from the main body. The player can lie in wait outside for exactly that moment, pick up the companion he has just carried out, and then deal with him alone.
World states
Once Gorrillo is dead, Gorrillo Bandits stop spawning patrols in the Bonefields and around Flats Lagoon.
About the name
His name has one more r in it than the animal Gorillo. The two should not be confused — and certainly not to his face. One reading holds that his nickname comes from that white-furred giant ape.
