Forbidden IsleReport
English:Forbidden Isle · Locations
Offshore island. Unclaimed.
A small island you can only reach by swimming, with a spider factory at its heart that is still shipping. Acid rain comes down at random overhead, Iron Spiders move in formation below, and a party of Tech Hunters have decided the secret here belongs to them alone.

| Spider Foreman | Hostile boss | Spider Factory | A skeleton with a Meitou-grade staff, leading some 15 Security Spiders and Iron Spiders; the staff's reach is wide enough to sweep a whole line down at once. Kill him and the island's Iron Spider legions vanish, replaced by wild goats and garru. |
History
- The Spider Factory is thought to have been built during the ancient war, and is taken to be the source of every Iron Spider on the continent; only when the foreman is dead does the island's supply dry up and wild goats and garru start walking in.

The channel's verdict: Recommended with caveats
- Hazards Acid rain falls on the island; Paul Rogers takes that as a sign of a certain degree of pollution, though its actual effect is to water your crops for you.[V1 0:00:33]

- Raids Once the Foreman is put down the spawns switch to Garru and Goats, which will not attack your characters of their own accord — meaning complete quiet between base raids.[V1 0:02:14]
- Defensible terrain Ground on the waterside forces raiders to wade towards your gate, which Paul Rogers rates as the easiest impenetrable defence there is to build.[V1 0:02:47]

- Defensible terrain The blue recommended spots Paul Rogers marks on the map are all relatively flat, and each has at least one copper and one iron deposit nearby.[V1 0:04:26]
- Distance to supplies Remoteness is the only price you pay, but Black Scratch is not all that far off, and there is a United Cities village nearby with a few shops of its own; set against the Leviathan Coast or Fishman Island, that distance is nothing.[V1 0:05:32]
