Swamp Ninja BaseReport
English:Swamp Ninja Base · Locations
The Swamp Ninjas' headquarters, on the lake shore of the South Wetlands. Their leader Shade lives here with a 20,000-Cat Shek Kingdom bounty on her head, and while she is alive this whole zone keeps producing ninja patrols.
The Swamp Ninja Base (also called the Swamp Ninja Hideout in game) is the headquarters of the Swamp Ninjas, in the South Wetlands.
What the South Wetlands is
The South Wetlands is most easily recognised by the large lake in its middle. It has no major towns and exactly two outposts: the Slave Markets on the eastern side, and the Swamp Ninja Base.
Which is to say the only industry in this swamp is sorting people, pricing them and shipping them south. The ninja base is the other power sitting alongside that supply chain.
Who is here
The base houses the full Swamp Ninja hierarchy:
- Swamp Ninja Genin
- Swamp Ninja Chunin
- Swamp Ninja Jonin
- Shade, the faction leader
The Swamp Ninjas are a bandit ninja faction from the Swamp, sworn enemies of the Red Sabres, and the two are constantly cutting each other apart across the South Wetlands. Their uniform is Dyed Rag Shirts, turtlenecks, cargopants and Swamp Ninja Masks; their weapons are Ninja Blades, Guardless Katanas and the occasional Tooth Pick.
Shade is a Scorchlander woman carrying an Edgewalker-made Guardless Katana, in [Standard] armour (10% chance of [High]). The Shek Kingdom wants her for 20,000 Cats.
Attacking like a pack of bloody beasts! — Shade
Whether Shade lives decides what this zone looks like
This is the base's most important mechanical property:
- Shade alive — the South Wetlands spawns roaming Swamp Ninja Genin squads (1 Chunin leading 5 to 10 Genin).
- Shade dead or captured — those patrols stop spawning.
So the base is not merely a stronghold you can attack. It is the source of every ninja patrol in the South Wetlands. If you want this swamp quiet, dealing with Shade is enough.
What it means for the player
The Swamp Ninja Base is a mid-game bounty target, not a supply stop. There is no shop, no bar and no purchasable building.
There are exactly two reasons to come here:
- Shade's 20,000-Cat bounty.
- Clearing the ninja patrols out of the South Wetlands — relevant if you plan to build here, or expect to travel the Slave Markets route often.
