The Lost Library of the Swamp. It sells nothing and nobody guards the door — except a nest of six to fifteen Blood Spiders sitting on three ancient maps, and those three maps mark ancient ruins across the whole continent.
The Lost Library Outpost is a Lost Library located in The Swamp. Every other one on the continent is simply called a Lost Library; only the Swamp copy is labelled "Outpost" in game. Different name, same building.
What this place is
Lost Libraries are ancient repositories of knowledge left behind by the Second Empire, abandoned to mould and decay with nobody to claim them. The second floor usually holds an empty Medical Workbench bearing the mark of some organisation that no longer exists.
Their function in the game is narrow: they produce maps and paper.
Who is inside
Nobody. But often a nest of Blood Spiders.
The Swamp itself is not a high-danger region. This nest is the hardest thing on the trip.

The guaranteed artifacts are three maps, one of each:

Those three sheets of paper are what a Lost Library really produces — they hand you the locations of a whole chain of further ancient ruins in one go.

Ancient Science Books appear here only occasionally, not as a guarantee. For a reliable book supply, go to the Suspicious Lab, where the respawn cycle is one to two days.

Walking near it marks it automatically. Reading the Tech Hunter Library Map is guaranteed to reveal a Lost Library. That sheet is cheap — worth only 100 Cats — a hand-drawn note by the Tech Hunters that happens to be the start of the entire ancient-ruin chain.
What it means for the player
A Lost Library is not where you get rich. It is where you open the map. Clear one and you walk out with two or three new markers; run those markers and you reach the places where AI Cores and Engineering Research actually sit.
The Swamp copy has one advantage over the rest — location. It is in one of the easiest regions on the map to reach alive, far friendlier than the ones in Vain or on the Leviathan Coast. If you want to start collecting ancient leads, start here.
