The Traders Guild is proud of its claimed "rags to riches" origin story, and continues to use the leather wrap-around jacket as its unofficial uniform. Although, being over 200 years old nobody can confirm the true origins of the Guild, and skeptics say the mundane clothing is just to make them seem more humble and honest, so you don't notice when they are ripping you off.
Traders Leathers are Light Armour that is equipped in the Body Armour slot.
This item is the uniform of the traders of Traders Guild, as such most vendors and traders in the world equip this armour. It is also the armour of choice of Machinists. Slavers, Slaver Caravan Guards, and Slaver Caravan Bosses. It can be randomly worn by Drifters, Tech Hunters, and Tech Hunter Ruins.
They can be crafted using the Leather Armour Crafting Bench after researching the appropriate blueprint.
Traders Leathers are made out of what looks like a former leather shirt that had been torn and then repaired. A piece of armour plate has been made into a shoulder protector on the right arm and is held in place by a leather belt that wraps around the body. Since the shirt is torn it leaves part of the chest and back exposed.
Traders Leathers are unlocked when research for the Leather Armour Crafting Bench is completed.
