Two Western Hive villages out on the Sinkuun peninsula, far enough from the red soil of home that the distance ended up in the name. Only two shops, but the same fast restock — and the only decent place to dump loot on that side of the peninsula.
Distant Hive Villages are minor outposts controlled by the Western Hive. There are two of them in Sinkuun.
The "distant" is probably literal — they are likely named for how far they sit from the Western Hive heartlands, far enough that the distance itself became the place name.
What is here
The layout is leaner than a Hive Village in Vain: only three building types — Hive Trader, Hive Robotics Shop and Hive Residential. No Factory.
The Hive Trader runs to the same spec as at home: 150 items maximum stock on a 6-hour restock. It sells high-value goods like Robotics Components, Generator Cores and Authentic Skeleton Repair Kits, and it buys all sorts of junk. For a squad working the eastern side of the peninsula, this is the nearest counter that can absorb a large haul.
The Hive Robotics Shop holds 60 items on a 24-hour restock and sells Economy Arms and Economy Legs plus Authentic Skeleton Repair Kits. As at home, those limbs are the cheapest and least desirable prosthetics in the game.
Why they are out here
Sinkuun is where the people the empire squeezed out end up: farmers behind on their taxes, wanted ronin, and these two hive villages.
Their existence points at something rarely said about the Western Hive — Hivers are not only inhabitants of Vain. They migrate, and they will open a shop on land nobody else wants.
World states
Distant Hive Villages have two overrides: Deadhive Overrun, or taken over by the Slave Traders.
Both mean the same thing. These two villages are the weakest section of the Western Hive's line. They are too far from home, and when something goes wrong nobody arrives in time.
