The Floodlands mostly attract the adventuring type, it's full of lost treasures of course, so why wouldn't it? Anybody else of sane mind wouldn't risk the spider bots, they keep most of the more hostile trespassers at bay at least... But life holed up in this tower can get dull, so it's always good to share shelter and exchange stories with fellow adventurers. — Burn

Burn's Tower stands in the northern Floodlands. The Skeleton Burn waits outside it, and stays there until the player recruits him.

Where it is

The Floodlands is where the Old Empire's Skeleton production lines ended up underwater. The zone has no towns at all, and spawns neither camps nor nests; what roams the ground is Iron Spiders and the odd Skeleton searcher. The weather is permanent misty rain — not acid rain, so no special protection is needed for the trip.

Apart from Burn's Tower, everything named in the Floodlands is an ancient ruin — Ancient Labs, Suspicious Lab, and the undefended Leaning Tower. Burn's own explanation is the practical one, that the place is full of treasure and the spider bots keep most unwelcome visitors away.

Who lives here

Burn is one of the easiest Skeletons to recruit early in the game. He is a retired adventurer who gave up the life because of his age, but the player can talk him into one last outing before his inevitable shutdown. He has only two unique dialogue lines and otherwise uses the standard Skeleton dialogue package.

NoteBurn keeps his vigil outside the tower alone. That gives him opportunities to get into fights with the locals — he can be dead before the player ever arrives. If you want him, go early.

What is inside

The tower holds a fixed 15 items, refreshing every 24 hours. On top of that, the location has a gear Artifacts value of 15,000 Cats, meaning it also spawns extra items through the Artifacts system.

The reason to make the trip is the Skeleton Repair Kits. If Burn is the first Skeleton in your squad, they are the first thing you will run short of — human first aid kits do nothing for him.

TipPower Core and CPU Unit are the two most valuable things on that list, and neither is something shops restock reliably. Even if you have no interest in taking Burn along, the tower is worth emptying once.

Why the player cares

Burn's Tower is one of the few places that solves two problems in one visit — a Skeleton squadmate, and the consumables that Skeleton runs on. For a new player who has not yet worked out how Skeleton repair works, the tower is a lesson in itself, because it puts the question and the answer inside the same building.

It is also the only place in the Floodlands you can walk into without a fight. The other three are ruins, and the Iron Spiders in ruins do not care who you are.
