The tower at the dead centre of the Arach crater, where the Bugmaster lives with two dozen spiders. The legendary treasure is real — it is eight hundred to twelve hundred human teeth, plus one map pointing at Cat-Lon.

Some say he holds the most prized treasure in all the lands, protected by his personal insect horde... Only one thing's for certain though... The Throne of the Bugmaster is the Bugmaster's lair, located in the middle of the crater of Arach.
Two dozen spiders
The Bugmaster is surrounded by a spider army, and that army has a precise composition:

They exhibit Home-Territory Aggression — they attack the moment they spot the player on their own ground.
The Bugmaster himself is a Greenlander, with wanted posters distributed by both the Shek Kingdom and the Tech Hunters, and a bounty of 100,000 Cats. The charges are banditry, raiding, mass-murder, cannibalism and genocide. The poster carries an update:
Intelligence indicates that the "Bugmaster" is also in possession of a large amount of treasure. Any valuables or artifacts found in the apprehension or assassination of the target is free for you to take.
What the treasure actually is
That legend about "the most prized treasure in all the lands" has a very specific, and very unkind, answer in-game.
There are exactly two things in the tower.
The first: Human Teeth, 800 to 1,200 of them. Unit price 0 Cats.
The second: a unique map — the Bugmaster's Map.
The Bugmaster's Map
The map sits in the chest in front of the Bugmaster and is worth 10,000 Cats. Its description reads:
It's a map pointing to a certain location in the Ashlands. It's covered in gibberish writing and pictograms. Though the Bugmaster was obviously insane, he seemed to have lived long and knew a lot of the world's secrets. You can piece together enough scraps of information to understand that the Bugmaster was training himself in preparation to go here and kill someone. It seems to have been his obsession. Whoever is there waiting in the Ashlands, it must be someone insanely dangerous.
Using it reveals Cat-Lon's Exile — deep in the Ashlands, the throne of Cat-Lon, the Second Empire's maddened last emperor. If that location has already been discovered, the map cannot be used.
What it means for the player
The Throne is a milestone, not a supply stop:
- A 100,000-Cat bounty, one of the largest heads in the game.
- The key to Cat-Lon's Exile — if you want the final boss, this map is the most direct route.
- A proof of standing. Two dozen high-tier spiders plus a superboss; a squad that clears this has arrived.
If you would rather not fight, there is a stealth route: sneak in with high Stealth and Assassination and knock him out. His Toughness is very high, so the success chance is low — viable, but not easy.
