Robotics ShopReport
English:Robotics Shop · Characters
The limb shop in Black Desert City, and the only one of its kind in the game. Fifty items of stock and open around the clock, which buys you the widest selection of robot limbs anywhere — at the cost of it sitting in the middle of the Deadlands.
A human?... It's not everyday I get a human customer... but, sure, I've got plenty of parts that should fit you fine indeed... Did you travel all the way here just for my expertise?... Gosh... I'm flattered... I don't blame you though, human, flesh is good for nothing but rotting... Where was I going with this? — the shopkeeper
The Robotics Shop deals in robot limbs and consumables for Skeletons. There is exactly one in the game, in Black Desert City.
What you find elsewhere is the smaller Robotics Workshop, which is not the same shop.
Why the trip is worth it
This shop carries up to 50 items, against 25 for the Robotics Workshops scattered around the map. Both restock every 24 hours.
It also has an uncommon property: it is open day and night. Most shops shut after dark, high-value goods like limbs especially, so if you arrive in the small hours this is one of the few counters still trading.
Five to six Skeleton Civilians live in the shop, one of whom doubles as the shopkeeper.
Possible stock
Every item below is listed as Common on the wiki's stock table.
Three entries appear on one side only, for two different reasons. Steady Arm (left) and Thief's Arm (right) exist in one-handed form only — the game never made the opposite side. Skeleton Leg (left) is a different case: Skeleton Leg (right) does exist as an item, it simply is not on this stock table.
How it differs from a Robotics Workshop
| Robotics Shop | Robotics Workshop | |
|---|---|---|
| Location | Black Desert City | Black Scratch, Heft, Heng, Waystation |
| Maximum stock | 50 items | 25 items |
| Staff | 5–6 Skeleton Civilians | 1 Skeleton Doctor |
| Building | Its own shopfront in town | Small Shack |
| Robotic Bed | Not documented | Yes |
A Robotics Workshop has a Robotic Bed, which repairs the "wear" damage that caps maximum condition on Skeletons and robot limbs. Any humanoid with robotic limbs can use it. The wiki does not mention a bed when describing the Robotics Shop, so do not travel to Black Desert City specifically to clear wear.
That said, the city itself is not short of repair facilities — there are Skeleton Repair Beds on the bar's second floor and in each of the Skeleton Storage buildings.
There is also a Mongrel Robotics Workshop in Mongrel, near-identical to a standard Robotics Workshop. The Western Hive's Hive Villages and Distant Hive Villages run Hive Robotics Shops, which are a different shop again and sell only the cheap Economy-grade limbs.
Read this before you set off
Black Desert City sits in the middle of the Deadlands, and that will shape your trip more than the stock list will.
- The region has acid rain. Anyone in your squad who is not a Hiver or a Skeleton needs cover.
- There is no police station. Lose a fight with the locals and you are carried outside the walls, then left lying in the acid rain.
- There is no food supply. The bartender says outright that he sells nothing humans eat, though edible food does turn up in containers around the other buildings.
