The soldier caste of the Fogmen — a degraded Hive Soldier Drone. They move in groups of three to five escorting a Fog Prince, wear no armour, carry a Mercenary Club, and haul unconscious bodies home to feed the prince.

A Fog Heavy is the soldier caste of the Fogmen. In the game's own files it is the Deadhive version of the Hive Soldier Drone — the same mould, worse in every column.

Where it sits in the faction

The Fogmen have three castes only: Fogman, Fog Heavy, Fog Prince. The Heavy is the middle layer, and it is usually found in groups of three to five escorting a Fog Prince.

They lurk in the Fog Islands, and also turn up in the Tower of Fog and in Deadhive Overruns.

NoteFogmen take prisoners. Like every Fogman, a Heavy will carry off unconscious characters — skeletons excepted. The destination is wherever the prince is, because the entire Fogman behaviour loop has collapsed to one thing: go out, capture bodies, bring them back to feed the prince.

Gear

No armour at all. The weapon is a Mercenary Club whose manufacturer field reads "Unknown" — the bottom of the ladder.

TipThe lack of armour is good news and bad news. Good: anything with an edge cuts them. Bad: melee attack of 32.4–39.6 is enough to hurt an early party, and they never arrive one at a time.

What kills you is the headcount, not the individual. The Fogmen have exactly one tactic and it is arriving together.
