Fog PrinceReport

English:Fog Prince · Characters

The leaders of the Fogmen. Their heads can be pulled off the corpse and sold to any vendor for 6,000 Cats — the least troublesome bounty in the game, because you never have to carry a body to a police station.

Fog Princes are the leaders of the Fogmen faction.

Why they are the easiest bounty in the game

Most bounties want you to knock someone out, pick them up and walk them to a police station. Fog Princes do not:

Their head can be removed straight from the corpse's inventory and sold to any vendor for 6,000 Cats.

A Fog Prince Head is an item, not a body. You do not haul it across half the map — you walk into the nearest shop.

TipThe same head can also be stolen from imprisoned Fog Princes in the Watchtower — no kill required.

How to find one

Fog Princes are never alone in the wild, always surrounded by Fogmen and Fog Heavies. The wiki's warning is blunt: seeking the Princes out in the fog, even with several well-equipped combatants, can be very unforgiving.

The safer play is to stand in Mongrel and wait. Fogmen frequently attack Mongrel, Princes included, and Mongrel's Shinobi Guards are more than capable of defending the town. A Prince usually gets as far as the Mongrel Barracks before going down, though some are killed before they even reach the gates.

Picking a Prince out of a pile of Fogmen is not easy. The wiki gives three tells:

  1. Yellow blood, distinct from ordinary Fogmen
  2. A round head shape
  3. The Ninja Blade they carry

Beyond that, the Tower of Fog — a lone watchtower on an island off the west coast of Vain — holds exactly one Fog Prince among a tower full of Fogmen. Deadhive Overruns have them too. They are also drawn to captives on Fog Deathyard poles, and are often found eating one.

Two rules to remember

NoteFog Princes (and Fog Heavies) apply -1 bandaged health for every 1 cut damage they deal while eating a character on a fog pole. Negative bandaged health does not heal on its own and must be bandaged back to normal. A squadmate you rescue from a pole cannot simply be left to recover.

A rule pointing the other way: a Fog Prince who is captured and then set free stays non-aggressive unless provoked.

Stats

Combat stats are only 30 (randomised by 5). A Fog Prince on its own is not a strong fighter — the threat is always the fog around it.
