EndinReport
English:Endin · Locations
One of the three cities in Bast that the Holy Army flattened. A single intact storm house is all that remains, occupied by a handful of drifters, and the camp beds inside are free for your squad.
Endin is a ruined city in Bast, nominally under United Cities control. Along with Bast and Drin it was largely destroyed by the Holy Army — three cities, one war.
How the three differ
| City | State now | Samurai garrison |
|---|---|---|
| Bast | Ruins | No |
| Endin | Ruins | No |
| Drin | Outpost | Yes |
Endin's position is the same as Bast's, then. The Empire still counts it as theirs on the map, and has not sent a single soldier. What remains are peasants, exiles and outlaws.
Besides walking near it, reading the Map of the United Cities (Central Territories) marks Endin — that map reveals sixteen locations at once, and Endin is one of them.
What is here
Exactly one building in the city is intact, a storm house. It is usually occupied by a few vagrants or exiles who drifted over from United Cities territory.
They are essentially harmless and will not attack you unless you are already hostile to the United Cities. There are a few junk items inside, none of them worth much.
Why the player cares
Endin has exactly one use — it is the cheapest place to stage out of in Bast.
This zone has the highest fertility in the north, the Holy Nation and the United Cities have been deadlocked over it for fifteen years, and the ground always has fresh bodies on it. That makes it a natural training ground for Field Medic and a free armoury for anyone willing to loot. The only problem is surviving between two armies, and Endin's storm house solves part of that problem — a roof with no guards, no faction stance, and nobody asking questions.
