A randomly named Crab Raider vendor. He sells crabs — and he will sell them to you even if you are not allied with the Crab Raiders at all. Kill or cage the Crab Queen and the shop stops existing.
So you wanna buy a crab, eh. Well, first up you gotta have a solid crab care routine, let me tell you all about it...
Crab Men are randomly named members of the Crab Raiders who sell Crabs.
They sell anyway
This is the part to remember: Crab Men will sell to the player even if the player is not allied with the Crab Raiders.
The Crab Raiders revere crabs, and in their case reverence and commerce do not conflict.
The Crab Shop
The Crab Shop is found in Crab Town and Crab Village. Besides the Crab Man himself, it holds 4 to 8 crabs at 0.1x–0.3x age — babies, in other words.
An adult crab costs approximately 14,000 Cats. Maximum stock is 30 items on a 24-hour restock, and the shop is open in the day only.
Is a crab worth it
The Crab has the slowest movement speed of any purchasable animal in the game, and it eats a lot. It compensates with fast, high-damage attacks that can hit two enemies at once.
That combination sets the role clearly: a crab is a base defender. Being unable to keep pace does not matter when it never leaves home, and you need a reliable food supply before you can keep one fed.
One more thing: you do not need to own a crab for the Crab Raiders to declare a Crab Tournament at your base — they will just worriedly ask whether your crabs are sick.
The man himself
A Crab Man is a Scorchlander with a 50% female chance. Strength 50, combat stats 25 (randomised by 7) — not a fighter. He carries an Ancient-manufacturer Naginata Katana, wears a Dyed Rag Shirt and carries one Basic First Aid Kit.
