Ashland Dome IIIReport
English:Ashland Dome III · Locations
A multi-floored dome in the Ashlands, held by General Jang and five Hydraulic Knights. It spawns five AI Cores as guaranteed loot, the largest single haul of them anywhere in the game.
Ashland Dome III is a large, multi-floored, dome-like structure in the Ashlands. It has two entrances and one winding staircase in the middle leading to the higher floors, and sits northeast of Ashland Dome II.
Of the four Ashland Domes, this is the one players go out of their way for, and for exactly one reason — it holds five AI Cores as guaranteed loot.
What to bring
Two more things.
- Indoors is completely immune, and so is the top floor of any building including the domes themselves. The dangerous part is the walk, not the dome.
- The unavoidable route into the Ashlands runs through the Sonorous Dark, and that zone does have acid rain. The gear for the two is entirely different (dustcoats against acid, masks against gas), and bringing only one wastes the trip.
The open ground also carries Skeleton Legion forces (7 to 22 Legions), Old Machines spider groups (4 to 18 Iron Spiders) and the occasional Cleanser Unit.
Finding it
| Map item | Chance of pointing here |
|---|---|
| Map of the Ashlands | 20% (one of five candidates) |
| Old Treasure Map | 5% |
The Map of the Ashlands reveals a single location; the five candidates are the four domes plus Cat-Lon's Exile.
Who is inside
General Jang commands the Second Empire's Hydraulic Knights. He carries a Meitou-grade Guardless Katana, wears Ancient Samurai Armour and Ancient Samurai Legplates, and has combat stats of 85. He is known for fighting "pirates" and cannibals, and the latter gave him his title — "The Inedible One".
With him are five Hydraulic Knights, Skeleton Log-Head MKII units wielding Nodachi and wearing the same ancient samurai kit, with 50 strength and 70 combat. Their gear is Specialist grade from Skeleton Smiths and Edgewalkers. Each drops an Old CPU Unit on death.
Guaranteed loot
These spawn through the Artifacts system and are not replaced once taken.

Why the player cares
AI Cores do not respawn. There are very few reliable sources in the entire game, and Ashland Dome III hands over five at once — more than the three at the Scraphouse, and you do not have to pay for them. If you intend to finish the high tech tree, this trip happens eventually.
The price is beating a Skeleton general with 85 combat plus five knights at 70, all in full Specialist ancient samurai gear. That is not a fight a mid-game squad muscles through.
