SadneilReport
English:Sadneil · Characters
The most absurd recruitment condition in the game — an exceptionally depressed skeleton who sighs and joins you once you have annoyed him for long enough, and does it for free.
I'll join you. But only because I'm weak and give in easily to peer pressure... Sigh — Sadneil
Sadneil is a Skeleton Unique Recruit. He is exceptionally depressed, and his joining condition is exactly this: annoy him for a bit and he gives in. There are no prerequisites and there is no fee.
Where to find him
In the Skeleton Bar in Black Desert City, out in the Deadlands. If he is not on the ground floor, check upstairs.
Why he is worth taking
Setting the performance aside, he is a free skeleton. Skeletons do not eat and never go hungry; they need repair kits instead. For an early squad still worrying about rations, that difference is a practical one.
He carries no weapon and no armour, and his statistics are set only with a ±3 randomisation, otherwise running on skeleton defaults. In other words he is a blank sheet — whatever you want him to become, you will have to train yourself.
Things he says
So I guess that's it. I'm a murderer now. It's all downhill from here... And here I thought life couldn't get any worse.
Where the name comes from
The wiki notes that Sadneil and his depressive personality are likely a double reference: to Marvin the Paranoid Android from Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and to Neil from the British sitcom The Young Ones, played by Nigel Planer — whom he sometimes quotes directly.
