An ex-slave drinking herself sideways in the Shark bar. Farming 60, Labouring 30, combat near zero — but she calls out whenever Blood Spiders are nearby, which makes her a walking spider radar. And she costs nothing.
Hell, its a place in this world. And it has giant fucking SPIDERS in it.
Miu is a unique recruit in Shark. The first time you speak to her she is in the bar, drinking hard enough to smash a cup on the floor.
Her story
Miu says she is an ex-slave — and before that, a farmer. She escaped the empire with a good friend named Ned, which by her own account was "a commendable feat if I do say so myself".
They did not both finish the journey. Just short of the town gates, spiders hit them.
Sucked Ned's goddamn guts right out of him... Made it all this way, just to be killed by a goddamn oversized bug...
That is why she is drinking, and why she has a set of reactions to spiders that belong to no one else.
Recruiting her
She costs nothing. Talk the conversation through and she asks to come with you. Her personality is Brave.
What she can do
Start with what she cannot: almost every combat stat is 1. Weapon skills, melee attack and defence, dodge, martial arts — all 1. Strength is 1 too. Put her in a fight and she goes down.
What she can do falls into two columns:

When you start raising your own outpost, a ready-made Farming 60 is worth real time.
A living spider radar
This is where her reputation actually comes from: she reacts with unique dialogue to the presence of any spiders in an area, which turns her into real-time spider detection. In The Swamp, where Blood Spiders will swim after you, that is worth far more than her combat sheet.
