Infinite WingwangReport
English:Infinite Wingwang · Characters
The first unique recruit in the game's history. He asks 100,000 Cats in the bar at Mongrel and settles for 5,000 — the most outrageous haggling margin in the whole game.
Do you dare challenge the might of the Infinite Wingwang? Do you dare?!
Infinite Wingwang is a male Greenlander who sits in the bar at Mongrel. He is the first unique recruit in Kenshi's history, present since the very earliest test builds of the game, and senior to the overwhelming majority of named characters who came later.

A hundred thousand, or five thousand
Talk to him and he names his price with entirely unconcealed confidence: 100,000 Cats. That figure is close to astronomical in the early game, and it makes plenty of new players close the dialogue and walk away.
But the price is negotiable, and negotiable to a ludicrous degree. Several paths through the dialogue tree all end with the figure squeezed down to 5,000 Cats. The known working route is to begin with one of these two lines:
- "I'll give you 4,000 and throw in a new name for you."
- "What!? I could hire ten Infinite Wingwangs for that!"
Then pick "Uh, 5000?" among the follow-up options, and the deal is done.
Is he worth 5,000
He is. In fact he is one of the best-value recruits in the game.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Strength | 20 |
| Dexterity | 20 |
| Sabres | 20 |
| Melee Attack | 25 |
| Melee Defence | 10 |
| Athletics | 20 |
| Toughness | 1 |
Measured by starting combat ability he is one of the strongest recruits available — only Agnu (Strength 50) and Crumblejon (Strength 24) come out ahead. But Agnu requires the player to travel to Venge and open a cage, and Crumblejon requires repeated conversations; neither can be solved with money. Infinite Wingwang costs 5,000 Cats and can be in the squad on day one.
The thing to watch is that his Toughness is only 1, which means he takes a beating no better than an ordinary civilian. A Melee Attack of 25 paired with a Defence of 10 is the classic "can dish it out, cannot take it": in practice he has to sit behind the squad's front rank, or be paired with a tank, or he will be knocked out very easily.
For gear he brings his own Horse Chopper and a full set of drifter leathers. The weapon comes from the "Ancient" manufacturer and the armour is Standard grade (5% chance of High Grade).
